We received our package from Rob, Danie, Grant and Audrey today! Ian's new kindy class started this evening, so he brought it home from school with him. Happy birthday to me, again! Thanks, guys!
Don't send us anything fragile, guys. The Chinese postal system leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like someone stepped on our package. Spoilers: everything inside is okay.
First look: I see what's probably artwork (yay!) and a sparkly pumpkin (yay!). The whole box smells like nutritional yeast (yay!).
Awesome stuff: birthday card, a handmade card from each of the kiddos, Halloween cat socks and gloves (which I have full intention of rocking on Halloween), "puppies and kittens in Halloween costumes" stickers, "pumpkin and bat" stickers, 3 packets of precious taco seasoning, nutritional yeast, Sour Patch Kids, DOTS, Vanilla Blueberry Granola, precious Starbucks Pumpkin VIA, sparkly pumpkin Halloween decoration, super cute picture of the kiddos.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so excited for Mexican food that tastes like Mexican food. And those Starbucks VIA packets could be used to bribe me to do just about anything. My morning coffee tastes like coffee with these beauties. These goods get rationed and are treated like the precious gems they are. Oh! The pumpkin matches the little glowy ghost that they sent us when we lived in Korea. The little ghost is in our "holiday decor box" in storage, so he didn't make it here, but they'll be friends when they eventually meet.
What's all this, then?
Welcome! This is where you'll read about our day to day lives. It may not always be fascinating, but here I'll discuss our home life, work life, struggles and successes. You know, regular human stuff.
