It's fitting because Ian and my first trip abroad was to Barcelona, Spain for our honeymoon. It wasn't the best decision to make such a trip at that moment. It was the summer of chaos: university graduation, wedding, honeymoon and moving to South Korea for our first stint in teaching ESL. All that rushing led to a stressful honeymoon fraught with pre-homesickness due to our upcoming move.
Spain did prevail, in the end. Generally, when I look back at that trip I remember the wonderful things. Great food, a few funny stories and beautiful buildings.
That brings me to Guadi.
Tomorrow we leave for Prague at 2pm. This journal may be quiet for the first couple of days (or not, I won't know until I'm there). We're subletting a room while a former Language House graduate travels, but it isn't available to us until the first. So, we're staying the first few nights in a hostel. We've been to Prague before and it's a wonderful city. I'm excited to spend a length of time there.
