This is a joint writing project for Ian and I. While we're worlds' apart, we'll write daily Journal entries addressing each other in the style of letters. The posts will remain open to comments, in the hopes that it can be a communal space. Ian doesn't have an official start date yet, but the project will begin as soon as he's settled in Saudi Arabia. Check back for updates.
We are in the process of raising funds for the wonderful Jinan, China shelter that saved Reeves (and many, many other dogs') life. You can read my post about our visit there by following this link (in red). If you are interested in donating toward the shelter's operating costs, please check out our YouCaring fundraiser page by clicking on the button below.
In 2009 Ian and I had our first adventure teaching abroad. In the span of three months we graduated from university, got married, took our first international trip, moved to South Korea and began our first real jobs. To stay in touch with friends and family (and to ease my homesickness) I kept a daily blog. Now, I'm working toward a book based upon that year and those writings. Though I often refer to it as "the novel," it's actually a work of creative nonfiction.
The book follows us as we navigate our first year of marriage and our new home culture. Check here for occasional progress updates and news on any other projects we begin.
