Perhaps you're wondering what we're up to this very moment. Or perhaps you're not. Maybe you're busy making tea. Or a sandwich. In any case, this page will change when our "permanent" address and/or occupations change.
The plan as of September 2014:
I've decided to pursue my Masters degree. This will open doors for me abroad (international school and university jobs) and allow me to work as a teacher in the states, should we choose that. Ian is in the process of finalizing his visa for Saudi Arabia, where he'll teach English to adults for the net year. We're unsure of whether or not I will follow him there. After he gets settled, he'll report back on what life's like there and we'll make our decision. If I stay here, I'll pursue my MAT (Early Education). If I follow Ian over, I'll do my MEd (Early Education) instead. Not all programs allow you to complete them out of the country, so my location will matter in the decision process. If both of us teach in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years then we will have the financial freedom to live and teach anywhere we choose. The Middle East pays English teachers about 2x the amount of other countries and with our considerable student debt, that's no small thing.
We have loose imaginings of spending some time teaching in Madrid after that, but (as usual) nothing is certain right now.

Want to know more about some of our past adventures? The Language House made it all possible by providing us with a fantastic TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) education. ALWAYS English School, in Jinan, China, was a wonderful place to work. Click the buttons below to go to their respective pages. Head to the Larger Projects page to find the button for our very popular original blog from Korea, "Everybody Jecheon Tonight."
