The bathrooms last night were an adventure all on their own. The women's was a few blocks away (the blocks here are huge). It was the first time I've seen a "public" restroom in China. Squatters, of course (our apartment has the only Western toilet I've seen), but no plumbing. Just an open hole with the porcelain "squatter" bit around it. I carry toilet paper around because China is BYOTP. Lisa showed me the way to the restroom and we had a bit of a funny moment when she asked me if I wanted her to help me. She meant that she would hold my bag for me, but it took me a beat to understand.
The men's bathroom was right next to the "bar." But, it wasn't actually a bathroom. It was a tarp strung between two cement supports and two plastic five gallon bucks. Someone would empty the buckets into the sewer (which I never managed to see) periodically when they became full (10 gallons of urine, yay!).

Ian has been eating seafood while here in China, which has allowed for some fun food moments for him:
